Self awareness is the ability to examine and understand who we are relative to the world around us. It is developed through skills like self-reflection, meaning-making, and the process of honing core values and beliefs. Self-awareness impacts young people’s capacity to see themselves as uniquely different from other people. Parents and teachers stimulate self- awareness when they engage youth in reflective conversations about values, beliefs, attitudes, and moral dilemmas. When adults encourage youth to understand and attend to their intellectual, emotional, social, and physical selves, they help young people understand the value of their full human potential.
Recently we conducted Ekta 16 in Digha, Navi Mumbai. The event was conducted on 4th August, 2019. It was kept for students of 1st to 10th and we were able to benefit 508 kids. A different kind of vibe was felt at this event. All this was majorly taken place because of the people who guided and helped us through out, i.e our chief guest. Chief guest who made a great difference and boosted it up like what and how where ……….
Ekta is all about awareness session. And hence various awareness sessions were conducted. Good and bad habits to good touch and bad touch were taught to them. Girls were also educated about menstruation and things to be taken care of during those time. It is very necessary for a girl to know all this especially in the outskirts area as there is no enough awareness involved. Different competitions like drawing, pour your heart out, aptitude test were also being conducted.
Lastly, to boost up the confidence and energy of the kids, the winners were given gifts. Also keeping every child in mind, educational kit was provided to each individual.
